Megamind (Will Ferrell) and his life-long archenemy Metro Man (Brad Pitt) are aliens that were sent away from their respective home planets in time of crisis (much like Superman’s origin story). Megamind, taking the role of super villain, tries to conquer Metro City in every imaginable way, each attempt a colossal failure thanks to Metro Man, who becomes the hero of Metro City. It seems that the pattern will never cease until Megamind seemingly defeats Metro Man during one of his many botched hostage plots involving news reporter Roxanne Ritchi (Tina Fey). Now freed from his rival’s shadow, Megamind proceeds to take control of Metro City.

Over time, Megamind comes to the realization that he no longer has any purpose in life without an enemy. To appease his depression, he turns Roxanne’s lonely cameraman Hal (Jonah Hill) into Metro City’s next big superhero, the fiery-headed Titan. Unfortunately for Megamind, Titan decides to utilize his new power against humanity as revenge for the lifetime of rejection he has endured for years. When Metro Man is discovered alive by Megamind and Roxanne, but uninterested in resuming his superhero duties, Megamind is forced to do the inevitable: become the hero of the crisis. Aided by his childhood sidekick Minion (David Cross), Megamind now sets out to stop Titan’s rampage of destruction, thus beginning a path to redemption.

The one thing special about the ongoing Saw franchise is that every year a new sequel arrives in theaters, and you know exactly what to expect from it. Good or bad, it is what it is and there’s no denying that it’s a Saw sequel. With that franchise (supposedly) coming to an end, Paramount Pictures is ramping up their newfound series: Paranormal Activity. The biggest fear with the sequel, arriving in theaters October 22, is that the studio would pull a “Blair Witch 2” by taking the low budget fare and throwing millions of dollars at it. Fret not; Paranormal Activity 2 is completely true to its roots, establishing itself as a competent, cohesive and coherent addition to the franchise that not only lives up to the hype, but also builds upon the original’s mythology.

Sinopsis

Many people can agree that the Resident Evil Movies don't follow the games exactly, but they do have elements of the game in the story. What people need to understand is that the movies are taking the franchise to a new level, it would be pointless to make a live action movie that follows the game in every way. The movie versions are an adaptation of the games and twists things to fit into a theatrical format. Resident Evil: Afterlife does that well, by turning Alice back into the character in the first movie, she kicks ass and keeps it human, rather than super-human.

The 3D was a new take on the series and I think it was nice, but it would have been fine without it too. It seems that the craze right now in movies is 3D, but some movies should go without it and let the story bring in the audience not the gimmicks of 3D. The 3D in RE:A was exceptional, but sometimes no surprise, like the Axe man throwing the ax towards the screen. The movie takes place after RE:E which is good that the movies follow close behind each other. The story is basically Alice trying to find life after the world goes to hell. Yes, there is zombies, but the focus of this movie is ending the Umbrella Corporation.

Many elements of this movie takes scenes from the RE Games 4 & 5. Out of all the RE movies made this had more similarities to the game than the previous films. People should remember that these filmmakers make these films to entertain, so other people that have negative things to say about this movie or any other movie for that matter should shut up and enjoy the movie rather than analyzing every little thing.

Sinopsis

Alpha and Omega is a competent baby-sitter but doesn't have quite the chops to be as absorbing for adults as well, as Pixar movies do. The movie is a standard fare love story and standard fare animal animation somewhat encased in a male bashing advertisement's philosophy. Humphrey is the idiotic male whose carelessness actually is a major plot point in the story while Kate is a mature, responsible, competent hunter, pretty, yada yada and so on.

The quality of the movie is top notch, and has a beautiful 3D that creates makes the scenes look much better and vibrant, though darker like using sunglasses using the 3d glasses. The movie is reminiscent of a lot of animal movies that happen in jungles that partially cross paths with humans. The golfer geese are funny and the bears, caribou all provide a lively background for the story to unfold.

Great movie to go with your daughter if you can bear the kid directed non-Pixar

Synopsis
